Scottish band Vida return with uplifting new single, ‘Tune Out Of You’

VIDA, the six-piece from Alloa, Scotland, return with ‘Tune Out Of You’ on 20th June, an exuberant folk-rock track celebrating life and all that comes with it.

Layered with upbeat percussives and rhythmic guitar infusions, ‘Tune Out Of You’ is a sparkling ode to optimism and opportunity. Following the success of previous singles ‘Different Storm’ and ‘You Tell Me’, VIDA shows us every release brings with them fresh creative strides and sonic experiments.

Crafted at their studio, Ward Street Sound, the single was written, recorded and produced by the band themselves. On this process, they share, “We utilised recording techniques used by Kevin Parker of Tame Impala mixed with other producers’ ideas through studying interviews and videos. With each single we’ve released, we’ve tried different recording and production techniques.”

Drawing influences from the sounds of The La’s, The Beatles, and Tame Impala, ‘Tune Out Of You’ encapsulates the classic folk-rock sounds that will immediately resonate with fans of modern nostalgia.

VIDA will be celebrating their 10th year as a band this year, marking a decade of expansive musicianship. The band has always taken heed from life and their Scottish roots to craft their distinctive psychedelic sounds. No stranger to the stage, the band are currently in the midst of touring alongside Jordan Allen and The Deenys, and are set to take the stage at TRNSMT festival this July. The band states, “We’re currently working on a fourth single and a debut album, there’s a lot more noise to come from the VIDA boys.”
