Following the successful debut of two singles, « Mr. Red » and « Juanita, » this album promises to intrigue audiences with its raw emotion and authentic blues sound.
Led by the venerable Cek Franceschetti, a seasoned bluesman whose musical journey has taken him across Europe and the United States since the 90s, Cek & The Stompers deliver a powerful wall of sound that transcends boundaries. With a deep appreciation for the roots of the blues genre, the band ingrains their music with elements of folk and rock ‘n’ roll, creating a distinctive sound.
Recorded at Monolith Studio in Brescia, Italy, and mixed at Poddighe Studio, « Mr. Red » reflects Cek Franceschetti’s profound connection to American blues culture. The title track, « Mr. Red, » pays heartfelt homage to the legendary bluesman Louisiana Red, offering a glimpse into Cek’s own experiences traveling the states and submerging himself in the blues tradition.
The album features eleven original tracks, including the reimagined version of J.J. Cale’s « Thirteen Days, » each displaying the band’s talent and musical versatility. From the infectious melodies of « Juanita » to the soulful storytelling of « Breakin’ Deal, » « Mr. Red » takes all on a voyage through the rich history of the blues.
Cek & The Stompers’ lineup includes Cek Franceschetti on dobro and acoustic guitar, Luca Manenti on electric and acoustic guitar, Pietro Gozzini on double bass, Andrea Corvaglia on harmonica, and Federica Zanotti on percussion. Produced by Luca Manenti and engineered by Michele Marelli, with mixing and mastering by Andrea and Carlo Poddighe respectively, the album is a collaborative masterpiece that showcases the collective talent of the band.
